Artist - David Fright

I was trained in graphic design and illustration at a studio in London's Fleet Street, qualifying for membership of the Chartered Society of Designers in 1974.  My long and successful career took me around Europe and to America designing for many high street names and other prestigious companies, picking up many design awards along the way.

Now retired I continue to satisfy my creative need by painting and drawing from life. I have used just about every medium there is over the years, but now have settled into the magic of oils. 

Painting in multiple layers of fine oil gives depth and realism to a painting and I find this very old method a delight to use.  It also draws on my many years experience in using watercolours by airbrush to give similar results; useful when painting for reproduction, but lacking the permanence of oil.

I exhibit with local art societies as well as on line. My paintings are now in private collections around the world.

Artist - Carl Conway

Art school trained in graphic design 'Epsom School of Art 1980-82 (OND Graphic communication), Cornwall College 1982-84 (HND Graphic Design).

My main interest lies in capturing landscapes and light in watercolour, acrylics and pastel. Recently my work is taking on more of an impressionist leaning in the form of large acrylics rather than my usual smaller scale watercolour painting.  I have had private commissions which now live in Canada, Wales and Scotland.

I worked for 21 years as a freelance graphic designer/art director, and have been in full-time employment for the last 6 years. I have incorporated my drawing/ painting skills within my job when it has been called for and has been a great asset to my skill set.

Watercolour & Ink Study

My passion and inspiration for painting is derived from places I visit regularly; landscapes of Southern England, South West England;  coastal scenery and dramatic skies, capturing landscapes and light in watercolour, acrylics and pastel.   

I try to capture the essence of a scene in an impressionist and personal way, working from sketches and photographs to create a finished painting. I am constantly striving to extend my skills in water-based mediums, sometimes combining watercolour  with pastels.

I use traditional methods and media of stone and wood for carving, oil paint, chinese ink and pen and print making.

Artist - Valery Koroshilov

Based in London and exhibiting internationally, Valery Koroshilov works primarily in figurative oil painting, and focuses on corporate and private commissions.

The first critical acclaim came with a body of work known as ‘Architectural Impressions’, ILC Honourable Award New York (1992). Since then the artist participated in more than 100 exhibitions worldwide. Recent solo shows include Standard Chartered Bank, London (2009) and Baker Tilly, London (2010). 

Recent projects include P&O Cruises, where the designers of the UK’s biggest luxury superliner Ventura commissioned him 36 paintings and murals. Dame Helen Mirren officially opened it in 2008.

Artist - Elsie Ball

Elsie produces an eclectic mix of photographic art. She is a passionate and dedicated photographer who digitally manipulates reality into the obscure, as well as traditional. Her photos will become her world as she sees it. 

Elsie alternates her love of big bold colour, with soft, subtle and often black and white.
